庄严

庄严，女，1983年生于中国辽宁。2001年毕业于辽宁省艺术学校美术专业。2005年毕业于东北大学艺术学院艺术设计专业。毕业后从事新闻及艺术教育工作。2009年旅居美国弗吉尼亚州，专心绘画创作及教学。2011年参加了大华府《东方之春》文化艺术书画展。2012年参加了CCACC的新年绘画展，并于2012年3月至8月期间成功举办了三次个人画展。现为中华艺术同盟协会秘书、弗吉尼亚中国书画协会会员、Corcoran Gallery of Art Member。

绘画作品主要采用西方后印象派的技法，藉以鲜明的色彩和简洁概括的形象，描绘以空气和阳光为主要媒介的世界，抒发画家的内心情感。

Yan Zhuang was born in Liaoning, China. She presently is living in Ashburn, Virginia. She developed artistic interests at an early age, much to traditional Chinese paintings. Later she studied fine art in Liaoning Art School and graduated in 2001. In 2005 she received her BA degree in Graphic Design from the Art School of Northeastern University, China. She previously worked in News Agency. Her work blossomed after she built her studio and devoted hours to becoming proficient in paintings and art education. In 2012, her art works have been exhibited in CCACC “New Year Exhibition” and local libraries.

She serves as Secretary of Chinese Culture and Art League (CCAL). She is the member of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Society of Virginia (CPCSVA) and Corcoran Gallery of Art.

Inspired by the post-impressionist artists, her paintings exploit bright colors and brief description of the image to fully manifest the world in the air and sunlight and express her internal feelings.
